I LOVED this show as kid! All of my school freinds did as well.
I had the Thermos brand metal lunchbox!
The only thing I remember of it, was that the front of the lunchbox had the scene where the kid gets his head stuck between the vertical metal bars of a metal fence.

i like to see anniversary show as well, but two of the main cast members have passed on (Bobby Troupe and Julie London). I have five seasons on dvd and hope the sixth season is released in 2010 along with the movies. I like the last episode where they are promoted to captain and have flashbacks to various episodes, like the snakebite, etc. It was a classic fire department show. The only other show that comes close to emergency is third watch.

No, sorry, that was Mike Stoker. He was hired as a tech consultant for the show. He could also drive the truck, and he had a SAG card, so he just fit in perfectly. He retired from the LA County FD in 1996 as a captain. (LA County & LA City FD’s are not the same, and somewhat rivals)
