Where are records of aircraft emergency landings kept in Canada?

I was on a Canadian Airlines flight in the fall of 1999 that made an emergency landing at Prince Rupert and am trying to find out if the incident was every investigated?

Yes they do.

If it is a major incident or accident it eventually finds its way to the TSB as stated above, but in most cases it is just reported on the CADORS system (Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reporting System) Link below.
If it was severe enough to generate a report you should find the information in there. Try typing Price Rupert into the search and good luck.

Hope you find it

Those types of things are generally not made public. Usually they are only made available to the general public if anyone was hurt or killed. An emergency landing is simply one that was not really scheduled. If every one of those was investigated, there would be nobody left to investigate real problems. Most "emergency" landings aren’t really emergencies, but rather precautions.

Unfortunately to my knowledge, Canada doesn’t publish airline incident information online like the FAA does.

If there was an emergency landing, the incident would almost certainly have generated paperwork for review by Transport Canada officials, however unless it was a major incident (people injured or a major mechanical failure) it probably wasn’t a huge investigation.

You can find Canadian accident investigation reports and info here:

If you’re interested in US accident/incident information, you can look here:
http://ntsb.gov/ntsb/query.asp (searchable database) or http://ntsb.gov/ntsb/month.asp (chronological monthly list).
